On Originality

Originality is the art of concealing one’s source. – Anonymous (Possibly)

I am of the school of thought that there are no new thoughts. Chances are that if your thought train arived at a particular location someone else got there some time ago.

I DO, however, believe in original action. You may not have been the first to think it but if you are the first to execute it…well then good on you. When your thought train arrives at a destination try getting out, stretching your legs and setting up shop.

STAKE A CLAIM

I know that’s kind of Heny Ford-esque thinking but just as talk without action is a null set, thought without execution is really nothing more than fantasy.

To be truly original you must not only have vision but a compatible skill set as well…even if that skill set just is knowing who to turn to when you find your own skill set lacking.
