There is nothing wrong with alternative perspectives and they are, with good reason, actively encouraged. They have a way of casting a different light, highlighting features that were previously unacknowledged. Removing ones self from a given situation can allow a pause for reflection. The problem with isolation is that it’s perspective is always limited to a single dimension. There is something to be said for first hand knowledge. Everything else is filtered, no mater how transparent the situation may appear to be.
